Transportation: Learners are responsible for their own transportation costs to and from onsite and clinical experiences.
Parking: For onsite (face-to-face) sessions held at the Bethune Building, VG site, QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax, NS, please note that we do not pay for parking. If learners bring their own cars they are responsible for parking. Parking in the adjacent lot is $14.50 CAD per full day. Metered parking and some full day parking are available on some of the surrounding streets; however, these spots may be difficult to find.
Immunizations/Health screening: All students who will be attending clinical courses must meet our standards for immunizations and health screening. For those in Canada who do not have medical coverage, they may be required to pay for these immunizations/health screening.
Clinical Courses: Clinical courses are unpaid, students are responsible to wear appropriate nursing uniforms and foot wear. The instructor-led clinical is full time working hours, therefore students will not be able to work extended hours at external jobs during this time period. It is their responsibility to ensure that they have this time off from their employer.
Meals: Learners are responsible for all meals. There is a nearby cafeteria where food can be purchased.
