Overview
The Pediatric Emergency Nursing Program provides specialty education for Registered Nurses (RNs) working in pediatric emergency care settings.
This competency-based program affords learners with specific content, skills, simulation and clinical experiences at Nova Scotia pediatric emergency settings. The program supports RNs to provide evidence informed, high-quality, safe, and effective pediatric emergency care across the province of Nova Scotia.
Requirements
- RNs with active practicing licensure from the Nova Scotia College of Nurses.
- Employment in a NS Health/IWK Emergency area that provides pediatric care.
- Approval from a Nova Scotia Health/IWK Health Emergency Nursing Manager to confirm a clinical seat and sponsorship for the program.
