Overview

The Pediatric Nursing Program delivers specialty knowledge education for Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) working in the pediatric environment. 

This program utilizes the academic content of Pediatric Learning Solutions (PLS), which provides online theoretical knowledge to support nurses in delivering safe and effective care to the pediatric population. The course content is delivered online via Nova Scotia Health Learning Management System (LMS) with links to Nova Scotian and Canadian content.

Requirements

  • RNs and LPNs with active practicing licensure from the Nova Scotia College of Nurses
  • Employment in a Nova Scotia Health Pediatric Care Area
  • Approval from a Nova Scotia Health Pediatric Manager to confirm sponsorship for the program
