11-week Cancer Systemic Therapy Certification Course

This 11-week certification course is comprised of the following components:

  • Knowledge: Online, independent, interactive learning modules and final exam in collaboration with the de Souza Institute's Provincial Standardized Chemotherapy and Biotheraphy (PSCB) course
  • Skills: In-person skills and simulation lab day with the CSTCC faculty
  • Performance: Integrated clinical preceptorship throughout the course

Timeline

  • Week 1–7: Self-directed online learning
  • Week 8–9: In-person skills and simulation lab day (7.5 hours)
  • Week 10–11: Virtual final exam – 2 hours with proctor
  • Preceptorship: Clinical practice: Integrated clinical preceptorship throughout; minimum 3 shifts

6-week Cancer Systemic Therapy Certification Course

Learners with an appropriate level of prior learning and experience may be able to complete the course on an accelerated 6-week timeline. This plan of study contains the same learning content and requirements as the 11-week course. This option is only offered in special circumstances and in collaboration with CSTCC faculty. It is recommended that learners register for the 11-week course.
