- In-person skills and simulation labs will take place in the Eastern Zone at the beginning of June 2027.

Overview
The Neonatal Intensive Care Program (NICP) integrates knowledge, skills, and simulation to support health care providers in developing the capabilities needed to provide safe, evidence-informed neonatal care. It is designed to strengthen clinical practice and promote consistency in care delivery, enabling health care providers across Nova Scotia to effectively support critically ill newborns and their families.
Requirements
- Approval from a Nova Scotia Health Perinatal and Newborn Nursing Manager to confirm a clinical seat and sponsorship for the program.
- Participants must actively practice and support the neonatal population in Nova Scotia Health.
Cost
- Tuition: Tuition will be waived for the NICP pilot.
- Travel: In-person skills and simulation session in the Eastern Zone to be covered by the sponsoring manager.
